The Georgia State Chapter of the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America actively seeks to provide support, comfort and education for those dealing with Myasthenia Gravis. Our chapter holds monthly support group meetings and semi-annual meetings featuring speakers who are experts in Myasthenia treatment and research.

Myasthenia Gravis

Myasthenia Gravis is an autoimmune disorder where the immune system mistakenly attacks healthy tissue, inhibiting muscles cells from receiving messages from nerve cells. While remission is possible, Myasthenia Gravis is generally considered an incurable disease, but one that can be treated with medication.
